The Sparrow is a band that formed after the departure of a member from their previous group. The remaining four members continued under the name The Sparrows, and the original keyboardist was soon replaced. In 1966, with the addition of a new lead vocalist and a move to Columbia Records, they simplified their name to "The Sparrow." Following the departure of another member in 1967, who pursued a solo career, The Sparrow changed their name again.
