The Spellbinders were a 1960s soul group hailing from New Jersey, featuring members Robert Shives (lead), James Wright, Ben Grant, McArthur Mumford, and Eloise Pennington. The group remained active until 1967 but did not achieve any major hits during their time together. Following the group's disbandment, Eloise Pennington went on to join The Ad-Libs, where she found some success.
