**The Spitters Bio** The Spitters emerged from the remnants of Missing Foundation, a band known for their chaotic presence and controversial history, including FBI investigations and a notable connection to the Tompkins Square Park riots. Founded by Mark Ashwill, who returned to music as the band's vocalist and composer, The Spitters began as a recording project with producer Jim Waters, who has worked with notable acts like Sonic Youth and The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. The initial lineup included musicians such as Judah Bauer, Link Benka, and Rebecca Gaffney. The Spitters made their live debut in April 1993, performing alongside Cop Shoot Cop and Motherhead Bug. By August, the lineup solidified with Mark Ashwill on vocals, Tim Bradlee on guitar, Louis Echavarria on drums, and Bill Bronson on bass. The band started playing regularly in September 1993, coinciding with the release of their five-song CD. Their energetic and intense performances quickly garnered a dedicated following. In late 1994, they recorded their full-length album, *Give*, which was released a year later but faced distribution challenges, turning it into a collector's item. In August 1994, The Spitters recorded seven demos at Jerry Teel's Funhouse Studio, leading to their signing with PCP Entertainment. Their subsequent album, *Sun To Sun*, was produced by Roy Mayorga and released in December 1995. **Discography:** - *The Spitters EP/CD*
