The Stereo Shoestring was a 1960s garage band hailing from Corpus Christi, Texas. They released one single in 1968, featuring the A-side "On the Road South," a re-working of "Defecting Grey," and the B-side, a cover of "Tell Her No." The band consisted of members James Coco on vocals, Jim Howard on lead guitar, Richard Lalor on guitar, James Noe on bass, and Steve Schultz on drums.
