The Stereos were a vocal group hailing from Steubenville, Ohio, that emerged in the mid-1950s as a doo-wop act. They achieved their greatest success with the hit song "Stereo Freeze," released in 1967 on the local Hyde label, which later caught the attention of Cadet Records, leading to a national release. Despite recording one additional single for Cadet, it did not achieve significant success, and the group disbanded in 1968. The members included Bruce Robinson (Lead), Leroy Swearingen (Tenor), Nathaniel Hicks (Tenor), who replaced Swearingen in 1960, Ronnie Collins (Bass), Sam Profit (Second Tenor), and George Otis (Baritone).
