The Students were a sextet from Cincinnati, OH, active in the late 1950s to early 1960s. The group featured Leroy King on lead vocals, Dorsey Porter as the first tenor, Roy Ford as the second tenor, John Bolden on baritone, Richard Johnson as the bass, and Ralph Byrd on guitar, who also occasionally took the lead vocals.
