The Sugarhill Gang is an early American hip hop trio initially comprised of three members, with later additions including a replacement for one of the original members. Over the years, the group experienced multiple line-up changes, leading to Big Bank Hank performing under the name the Original Sugarhill Gang alongside newer members Kent Laird (aka Pookie), Frank Zarate, and Derek Smalls, who portrayed Wonder Mike and Master Gee. The two original members, Michael Wright and Guy O'Brien, performed under the name Rapper's Delight with a new member, Hendogg. After years of legal disputes, Wonder Mike, Hendogg, and Master Gee are currently performing under the name Sugarhill Gang.
