The Sultans Five is a band from Racine, Wisconsin, originally formed in 1963 as a three-piece group. The founding members included Len Juliano on guitar, Tim Michna on bass, and Vic Weinfurter, Jr. on drums. They expanded their lineup by adding Ray Plauske from the Sensations on lead guitar, which led to their initial name change to the Sultans IV. The addition of Farfisa organist and saxophonist Ken Allen solidified their identity as the Sultans Five.
