The Tear Garden is a psychedelic/gothic/electronic band formed in 1985 by Edward Ka-Spel of The Legendary Pink Dots and cEvin Key of Skinny Puppy. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1986, produced by Dave Ogilvie. The group reconvened in 1987 to release "Tired Eyes Slowly Burning," with limited contributions from other Skinny Puppy members. In 1992, they released the full-length album "The Last Man to Fly," followed by the EP "Sheila Liked The Rodeo" in 1993, which featured live studio improvisation and an accompanying video directed by William Morrison. Following the collapse of Skinny Puppy in 1995, cEvin Key and The Tear Garden released "To Be an Angel Blind, The Crippled Soul Divide" in 1996, and "Crystal Mass" in 2000, which marked a shift towards a greater focus on sound and production. In 2002, a limited edition compilation titled "Eye Spy With My Little Eye" was released on Key's Subconscious Communications label, along with a best-of album, "For Those Who Would Walk With The Gods." The Tear Garden has never toured, which has limited their commercial potential. The only live performance of their material by both members of Skinny Puppy and The Legendary Pink Dots occurred on April 14, 1988, in Leiden, Holland, and May 1, 1988
