The Teenbeats were a Mod Revival band from Hastings, England, formed in 1979. Their lineup included an ex-member of The (vocals), along with a lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist, bassist, and drummer. They were signed to Safari Records and released two singles: a cover of The Troggs' "I Can't Control Myself" and an original song titled "Strength Of The Nation." Although neither single charted in the UK, "I Can't Control Myself" achieved success in Canada. The Teenbeats also contributed tracks to the compilation albums "Uppers On The South Downs" and "Mod City."
