The Tights, originally named The Jerks, were a punk band from Worcester known for their youthful energy, described as "Malvern's answer to The [insert name]." They debuted in June 1978 with a single that received the title of Single of the Week in Record Mirror and was endorsed by [insert name]. Their September follow-up was a tribute to a legendary American tycoon. Despite their promising start, the band struggled to commit to regular gigs and disbanded the following year.
