The Trackers were a garage band formed in 1965 in New Braunfels, Texas, by students from New Braunfels High School. The original lineup included Butch Wullschleger on drums, but he was soon replaced by Mike Byrne after guitarist Jack Williams noticed Byrne tapping out the rhythm to "Wipe Out" during class. The band consisted of Jimmy Brietzke on rhythm guitar, Mike Byrne on drums, Johnny Williams on bass and lead vocals, and Jack Williams on lead guitar. They made their mark in the music scene in 1966.
