The Unknowns are a US rock band formed in 1979 in San Diego, California. The original lineup consisted of Bruce Joyner on vocals and keyboards, Mark Neill on guitars and vocals, David Doyle on bass, and Steve Bidrowski on drums. In 1982, Bruce Joyner left the band, and they continued with Craig Packham on drums. In 1990, the band reunited with Joyner for an album and a French tour in 1991, which was initially announced as Bruce Joyner And The Tinglers due to the release of "Beyond The Dark," their third album issued by New Rose. However, Joyner left the band again shortly after the reunion to focus on other projects.
