The Untouchables

The Untouchables are a ska and soul band hailing from the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1981, they emerged as part of the early L.A. mod revival, drawing inspiration from the ska revival and punk rock scene. The original lineup consisted of Kevin Long (vocals), Chuck Askerneese (vocals), Terry Ellsworth (rhythm guitar), Clyde Grimes (guitar), Rob Lampron (drums), Herman Askerneese (bass), and Jerry Miller (vocals, timbales). Some members learned to play instruments hastily or took on vocal roles due to their initial lack of musical experience.
