The Vala-Quons were a vocal group from Los Angeles, California. The members included Joe Thomas (Lead Tenor), Willie Gant (Bass), John Wesley "Wes" Hayes (2nd Tenor; Baritone; Guitarist), Bobby Johnson (1st Tenor), and Jesse Kirkland (2nd Tenor; Baritone). Prior to adopting the name "Vala-Quons," the group released a single in 1961 under a different name, possibly with a few different members.
