The Van Dykes were a rhythm and blues/soul group based in Fort Worth, Texas, led by Rondalis Tandy. Originally formed as a quartet in 1964, the group included Tandy (falsetto lead vocals), Wenzon Mosley (tenor), Eddie Nixon (falsetto lead vocals), and James Mays (baritone). In 1965, the group became a trio after Nixon departed, citing artistic differences with Tandy. The Van Dykes were active until 1968.
