The Velours were a Doo Wop and Soul vocal group formed in the mid-1950s in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York. The original lineup included Jerome "Speedo" Ramos as the lead vocalist, along with a first tenor, Donald Haywoode as the second tenor, Kenneth Walker as the baritone, Marvin Holland as the bass, and pianist Calvin Hayes. In 1968, the group underwent changes.
