The Weirdos were an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1976. The band consisted of singer John Denney and his brother Dix on guitar, who were the only constant members throughout their existence. Other notable members included guitarist/bassist Cliff Roman, bassist Dave Trout, and drummer Nickey "Beat" Alexander. Initially an art rock band, they gained recognition in a Time magazine article featuring punk rock groups, leading to their association with the punk genre. The Weirdos broke up in 1981 but reunited at various times, including recording the album "Condor" in 1990. Their 2004 reunion featured Circle Jerks bassist Zander Schloss and The Skulls drummer Sean Antillon. The band was occasionally active in the 1980s and recorded new material in the 1990s.
