The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band was an American psychedelic rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1965. The group consisted of three well-heeled teenagers—brothers Dan and Shaun Harris and their schoolmate Michael Lloyd—and a wealthier thirty-something attorney named Bob Markley. Markley played a crucial role in securing the band a recording deal with Reprise Records, where they released a series of unconventional records. Although they did not achieve commercial success, their most famous composition, "Smell Of Incense," was written by Markley and later featured contributions from guitarist Ron Morgan, who had previously played with The Electric Prunes and an early version of Three Dog Night. The band disbanded in 1969 after publishing their last album.
