The Whatt Four was formed in 1965 in Riverside, California. The band disbanded in the summer of 1967 when two of its members were drafted. After their military service ended, the band later reformed. The lineup consisted of Greg Sanders on lead vocals and bass, John Langdon on lead guitar, Tom Bitters on rhythm guitar, and Tom Ference on drums.
