The Zephyrs were a band formed in London in 1961, originally known as Johnny Saville and the Clee-Shays. They adopted the name The Zephyrs in 1963 and are not to be confused with a different group from Stockton-on-Tees, which later became The Zephrons. The band included members such as Jerry Donahue, who played guitar from 1961 to 1963 and later joined Fairport Convention and the reformed Yardbirds. Peter Gage was another member who played with The Ram Jam Band and Vinegar Joe. The lineup featured various musicians over the years, including drummers, vocalists, and keyboardists, contributing to their sound during their active years from 1961 to 1966.
