Thorinshield was a musical group known for their contributions to the 'sunshine pop' genre, releasing an album and two singles between late 1967 and early 1968. Despite their initial lack of commercial success, their work has since become cherished by fans. The band originated in Los Angeles, where drummer Terry Hand had a background in various surf bands and recorded two singles with Everpresent Fullness. Bassist Bobby Ray was an experienced session musician, having participated in Donovan’s notable May 1966 sessions in LA, which produced the classic "Season Of The Witch." In 1967, Hand joined forces with guitarist James Smith, and together with Ray, they began crafting commercial songs that blended elements of folk and psychedelia.
