Thorts is an Australian musician who began writing songs in 1995 at the age of 15 in Mooroopna, Country Victoria. He was part of the first group called The Alliance, alongside Dan Murphy, where they created a bedroom mixtape in 1999 in Geelong and performed on the Formula Hip Hop show on PBS in Melbourne. They contributed to the Hard to Get Formula mixtape released in early 2001, featuring artists like Trem, Balans, and Brad Strut. Thorts later formed a group with Aetcix called Field Trip and collaborated with Brisbane producer Dave V under the name Mankind. Over the years, he has released six albums, including his solo works and collaborations.
