**Bio: Those Naughty Boys** Those Naughty Boys epitomized the garage band spirit in the 1960s. Formed in 1965 by Bobby Gauthier, who was expelled from high school for his long hair, the group consisted of teenagers with little musical experience. After a few practices, they recorded their first demo at H.H. Bloom Studios. With the help of Don Nicholson, a former roadie for the Esquires, they secured a recording contract with Montreal-based Fantastic Records. Their debut single, "Baby," was released in the winter of 1966, marking their entry into the music scene. The band performed extensively throughout the year, touring remote areas of northeastern Ontario and western Quebec. During one of these tours, their van flipped off the highway while traveling to a gig in Maniwaki, but they emerged unscathed, sharing their story on CJOH-TV's Saturday Date the following week. Demonstrating their entrepreneurial spirit, they invested their earnings into establishing Club 400 in Cornwall, Ontario, where they booked major touring acts from Ottawa and Montreal. However, by the time their single "Sir John A." was released, the band was on the verge of breaking up. Gauthier had strained his vocal cords and was unable to sing, leading them to hire Wayne McQuaid, the former frontman of Eyes Of Dawn, as the new lead vocalist.
