Tião Carreiro & Pardinho were a pioneering duo of viola caipira, known for their contributions to the genre. They released several 78rpm records in the late 1950s and early 1960s. After their breakup, Tião Carreiro formed a duo with Pardinho and later collaborated with Carreirinho and Zé Carreiro. Throughout their careers, both artists continued to record each other's songs.
