Tilvera was an Icelandic ProgRock band that had the potential to become one of the most popular groups in the country in the 1970s. However, frequent lineup changes and uncertainty about musical direction ultimately led to the band's decline, despite efforts by their leader, Axel Einarsson, to keep the group together. The band members included Axel P. J. Einarsson on guitar, Engilbert Jensen and Ólafur Garðarsson on drums, Rúnar Gunnarsson on guitar, Herbert Guðmundsson on vocals, Gunnar Hermannsson on bass, Pétur Pétursson on keyboards, Jóhann Kristinsson on bass, and Ólafur Sigurðsson on drums.
