Tim Story is an American ambient and modern classical composer and producer, born in 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Currently residing in Maumee, Ohio, he has established a worldwide reputation for creating emotionally complex chamber music that fuses classical instrumentation with electronics. With 13 solo albums and numerous compilations to his name, Story's music has been featured in various TV and film soundtracks, including the original score for a popular NPR documentary in 1999 and the feature-length documentary "Caravana" (2005), directed by Gerardo Olivares. He received a Grammy nomination for a children's recording with actress titled " " in 1988 and won a NAIRD 'Best Album' award for " " in 1991. Story has collaborated on six releases with one artist, three releases with another, and worked on a project with both Ashley and Roedelius titled " " in 2008.
