Germán Genaro Cipriano Gómez Valdés Y Castillo, better known as Tin Tan, was a Mexican actor, singer, and comedian born on September 19, 1915, in Mexico City. He was raised in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, where he began his career. Tin Tan often showcased the Pachuco style and used Pachuco slang in many of his films, frequently collaborating with his brothers. He played a significant role in popularizing the language of the Mexican American Pachucos in Mexico, utilizing a "caló" that blended Spanglish, a mix of Spanish and English influenced by Mexican immigrants. Tin Tan passed away on June 29, 1973.
