Tiny Davis was an American jazz and blues trumpeter and singer, born on August 5, 1907, in Memphis, Tennessee. She passed away on January 30, 1994, in Chicago, Illinois. Recognized as one of the best female trumpetists in jazz, Davis played with the "International Sweethearts Of Rhythm" from 1941 to 1946. In 1946, she formed her own band, "Tiny Davis and the Hell Divers." During the 1950s, she performed with pianist Ruby Lucas in a jazz club in Chicago.
