Titãs is a rock band from São Paulo, Brazil, known for their influential presence in the Brazilian music scene. The band's most recognized lineup, featured on the album "Cabeça Dinossauro" (1986), included Nando Reis (bass guitar, vocals), Branco Mello (vocals), Marcelo Fromer (guitar), Arnaldo Antunes (vocals), Tony Bellotto (guitar), Paulo Miklos (sax, mandolin, harmonica, vocals), Charles Gavin (drums), and Sérgio Britto (keyboards, vocals). As of now, only Mello, Bellotto, and Britto remain with the band. Titãs began their career as a nine-member group, but early departures included lead singer Ciro Pessoa and drummer André Jung. After the release of their debut album "Titãs," Gavin replaced Jung on drums. Over the years, the band experienced several changes, including Antunes' departure in 1992 for a solo career, Fromer's tragic death in 2002, and Reis leaving in 2003 to focus on solo projects. Gavin's exit in 2010 marked the last significant lineup change, after which a session drummer took his place. The band has sold over 6.3 million albums and has been covered by various Brazilian artists and some international singers.
