Tiziana Kutic, known professionally as Tina K. or Kontesa, is a Canadian pop singer who gained popularity in the late 1980s and into the 1990s. Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, to a Croatian father and an Italian mother, Tina completed a business program and graduated from Lester B. Pearson High School. She studied visual arts at Champlain College and later pursued fashion buying and merchandising in New York City at The Tobe-Coburn School and Lansdowne College in London, England. Upon returning to Montreal, Tina decided to follow her passion for music, writing and recording songs that led her to sign with the independent dance label Dance Plant Records. She released two dance singles, “All I Wanna Do” and “Talk to Me,” produced by Canadian producer John Brenner. Together, they also released a dance single called “Boom Bam” under the band name “Mannequin.” Tina collaborated with Canadian songwriter/producer Jean-Pierre Isaac and wrote several more songs before moving to Europe. In 1990, after extensive travel, she settled in Brussels, Belgium, where she recorded songs with British actor/musician-producer David Morley for R&S Records. Their underground club track “Seduce Me” was released in 1991 and became popular in European clubs, later being released on Mark Moore's London-based label, Splish Records/Rhythm King.
