Talal Maddah (1940 - 2000) was a renowned Saudi-Arabian singer and composer, celebrated as the true pioneer of the Saudi Song. He made a significant contribution to Saudi music by being the first Saudi artist to incorporate Copleys into his work, notably with his song "Wardk Ya Zarih Al-ward."
