Tokyo Cuban Boys, or 東京キューバン・ボーイズ, is a Japanese Latin big band formed in 1949. They are known for introducing Latin music, particularly Mambo, to Japan. The band performs a variety of music, including Latin arrangements of pop songs, movie soundtracks, and Japanese folk songs. Until 1980, they were also recorded under the name 見砂直照と東京キューバン・ボーイズ (Tadaaki Misago And Tokyo Cuban Boys). Following the retirement of their leader Tadaaki Misago in 1980, the band ceased recording but continued to perform occasionally for anniversary concerts and festivals. In 2002, they were forced to stop performing due to the acquisition of the name by a third party. However, in 2003, after regaining control of the 東京キューバンボーイズ trademark, the band resumed its activities under the leadership of Tadaaki Misago's son. Since then, they have been performing regularly and have released several albums.
