Tom Ellard is an Australian multimedia activist born in 1962. He is the founding and only constant member of Severed Heads, a pioneering group that connects Video Art with Music. Since its inception in 1979, he has been the main operator of the associated labels. In 2005, Ellard received the Australian Record Industry Association's Music Award for Severed Heads' soundtrack to the movie "The Illustrated Family Doctor."
