Tom Hooker is an American singer, songwriter, and photographer born in Connecticut on November 18, 1957. He began playing drums at the age of 10 and later moved to Europe, where he built his career in Italy as a solo artist and the voice of a music project. In 1994, he returned to the USA and currently resides in Las Vegas. Hooker initially released his first single, "Flip Over," in 1980 and participated in the San Remo Festival in 1981 with a song in Italian. In 1985, he collaborated with arrangers and producers from a project fronted by Stefano Zandri, for which he wrote the lyrics and sang "Future Brain" among other songs over the next three years. That same year, he signed with a label, and following the success of "Future Brain," the label's owner purchased his contract from Merak, leading to the release of Den Harrow’s album and Hooker’s solo single "Looking for Love." He co-wrote and sang all the songs on Den Harrow’s second LP and did demos for the third album, which were later recorded by English singer Anthony James. After "Looking for Love" gained popularity, an unauthorized album was released under Hooker’s name, featuring his demos from his time with Donato’s label.
