Tom Scott is an American saxophonist, composer, arranger, conductor, and leader of a west coast jazz fusion ensemble. Born on May 19, 1948, in Los Angeles, California, he is best known for composing the theme tune for the 1970s TV series "Starsky and Hutch." Throughout his career, he has released 26 solo recordings and has numerous film and television scoring credits. Scott has collaborated with a wide range of artists and is recognized as an original member of a prominent group, noted for his skills on the Lyricon and flute. He has earned three Grammy Awards and is the son of a notable figure.
