Tommy Roe is a singer/songwriter known for his bubblegum records, born on May 9, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He achieved his first hit with "Sheila," which was recorded in 1960 but gained success two years later. Although his career was interrupted from 1963 to 1966 while he served as an electrician in the US Army, he went on to score several more hits during the 1960s, including the transatlantic number one, "Dizzy," in 1969. He is married.
