Tommy Thompson was an American banjoist, guitarist, singer, songwriter, actor, and playwright, born on July 22, 1937, in St Albans, West Virginia. He was a co-founder of a notable musical group and was inducted into the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame in 2011. Thompson passed away on January 24, 2003, in Durham, North Carolina.
