Toni Traxton is an American singer and actress, born on October 7, 1967, in Severn, Maryland. She recorded music in 1990 with her younger sisters as part of The Braxtons, which included Tamar Braxton. Known for her husky alto voice, Toni has won seven Grammy Awards and has sold over forty million records worldwide. She won the "Best New Artist" Grammy in 1993. Toni was married to a keyboardist until their divorce in 2008 and is also the oldest cousin of a rapper.
