Toño Quirazco was born on April 22, 1935, in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. In 1955, he began studying medicine at UNAM and formed the "Conjunto Musical Preparatorio." However, due to health issues, he returned to his hometown and switched to engineering in 1958, becoming part of the Orquesta de Ingeniería. From 1959 to 1962, he directed the Orquesta Electrónica Preparatoria del Colegio Preparatorio de Xalapa. His passion for music led him to establish a new group with local youth and move to Mexico City, where they were signed to Orfeón and achieved significant success during the Ska phenomenon. As the popularity of Ska waned and due to further health problems, Toño Quirazco left the music scene and returned to Xalapa, where he served as the director of the State Theatre until his passing at the age of 73 on October 25, 2008.
