Tony And Reality was a continuation of a funk band originally founded in 1970 by Tony Sherman and others. In 1973, after some line-up changes, the band released their second self-titled album as Tony And Reality. Shortly thereafter, the band disbanded. Tony Sherman pursued a solo career, while Franky Douglas and Glenn Gaddum formed another funk band, recording two 7" singles with a lead singer and a 7" single backing.
