Tony and the Bandits was a musical group formed in Cincinnati and Oxford, Ohio, active from 1964 to 1966. The band was initiated by Tony Brazis, a Cleveland native who moved to Cincinnati's Bond Hill neighborhood. The original lineup included Bill Bartlett on guitar, Bob "Dude" Dudak on bass, and Bill Albaugh on drums. They recorded several of Tony's original songs at King Records and released a couple through the local Flo-Roe label. Their song "It's a Bit Of Alright" became a local hit, which led to its national release by Coral Records. The band gained further recognition by performing on the nationally televised show Shindig after winning a band contest at LeSourdsville Lake.
