Tony Clarke was a British record producer and songwriter, born on August 21, 1941, and he passed away on January 4, 2010. He became a member of a production team in 1964 and was one of the architects of symphonic "Prog Rock" through his work with a band, contributing to seven of their albums. Clarke produced the No. 1 hit "Baby Come Back" and collaborated with various other acts. He was notably proud to be one of the few white producers to work for a specific artist when he was asked to produce in 1972. He is often associated with a particular publisher.
