Tony Colton was a talented singer, songwriter, and producer originally from Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England, where he was born on February 11, 1942. He moved to Nashville in 1985, where he continued to make his mark in the music industry. Over his career, Colton wrote for and collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Ray Charles, the Allman Brothers, Celine Dion, Willie Nelson, Rod Stewart, Johnny Cash, and Tom Waits, among others. He passed away on August 24, 2020, in Nashville, TN. He was also a father.
