Tony Mottola was an American jazz guitarist born on April 18, 1918, in Kearny, New Jersey. He passed away on August 9, 2004, in Denville, New Jersey. Mottola's career took a significant turn when his friend, saxophonist George Paxton, secured a position with George Hall's orchestra and successfully convinced Hall to hire Mottola as well.
