Tony Newman is a British rock drummer born in 1943 in Southampton, Hampshire, England. He has collaborated with notable artists such as David Bowie, Donovan, and Mick Ronson, and he often opened for The Beatles, including their famous performance at Shea Stadium. A seasoned studio drummer, Newman later moved to Nashville, where he worked with Crystal Gayle, the Everly Brothers, and became involved in country music. He currently resides in Las Vegas, where he continues to perform.
