Toquinho, born on July 6, 1946, in São Paulo, SP, is a Brazilian singer, guitarist, and songwriter. In 1969, he traveled to Italy with a friend and toured the country. His greatest success began the following year when he joined a musical partner, with whom he recorded dozens of records throughout the 1970s. The duo's gentle and touching bossa nova and samba have gained worldwide recognition.
