Toshiko Yonekawa was a renowned Japanese koto performer and composer associated with the Ikuta school style. Born on February 2, 1913, in Himeji, she dedicated her life to the art of koto music. Yonekawa was recognized for her contributions to the field when she was designated a Living National Treasure in 1996. She passed away on December 13, 2005.
