Totally Insane is a rap group hailing from East Palo Alto, CA, consisting of members Mac-10 (P. Allen), Ad Kapone (A. Hicks), and T.C. (T. Witherspoon). The group initially started with four members: Ad Kapone, Mac-10, Mc Silk, and Zero Lark. They began recording together without a group name, but when Zero Lark was unable to keep up with studio commitments, T.C. joined Mac, Ad, and Silk in the recording process. During this time, Mc Silk became pregnant and left the group. The remaining members proceeded to record an album titled "Crazy Shit," but it was never released due to the death of their neighborhood benefactor, Mike, who had been funding their efforts. After his passing, Ad Kapone sought assistance from his brother Chris, who declined to continue with the album's production. Eventually, a neighborhood friend named Manny stepped in to fund their new project, leading to the release of their official debut album, "Direct From the Backstreet."
