Toto is a renowned band originally formed by a group of Los Angeles-based studio musicians, including guitarist Steve Lukather, keyboardist David Paich, bassist Mike Porcaro, and drummer Jeff Porcaro. Known for their extensive session work for other artists, Toto achieved significant success in their own right, with their commercial peak occurring in 1982 with the release of "TOTO IV," which won several Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. The band is best known for hits such as "Africa," "Hold The Line," "Rosanna," "Georgy Porgy," and "I Won't Hold You Back." Their song "I Won't Hold You Back" was later sampled by Roger Sanchez in his worldwide hit "Another Chance." After Steve Lukather's departure to focus on his solo career, Toto became officially defunct in mid-2008. However, they reformed in 2010 for a short series of concerts to support former bassist Mike Porcaro, who was diagnosed with ALS. The band continues to tour, and in October 2020, Lukather announced a renewed line-up and plans for a tour.
